MSF Field Management Training

Who & Why

This is an important training for managers in the field to expand Leadership skills, strengthen knowledge of management tools and learn how to translate those concepts to field reality. It was delivered in Africa, though most participants were attending from other countries where MSF has a presence.

Outcomes

As a result of the programme participants took away important communication skills for teambuilding and motivation, as well as invaluable skills in negotiation and how to deal with conflict in teams. The course highlights were sharing experiences and learning through interactive discussions and group exercises. Participants developed the core competencies needed to effectively lead their teams and learnt how to apply these to their daily work and field reality.  The evaluation after the training raised high scores for applicability and satisfaction.

Mikala brought an insightful and perceptive understanding of the issues involved and their relevance in the wider context of MSF’s humanitarian work.
